  On October 6-7, 2014, over 200 public sector employees from provincial and municipal governments, school divisions, universities, colleges and health-care bodies will gather at the Delta Hotel in Winnipeg for the 2014 Manitoba Connections: Access, Privacy, Security and Information Management Conference, hosted by Manitoba Ombudsman.
  
• Manitoba Ombudsman celebrates Right to Know Week, September 22-28, 2014 – Sep 22, 2014
  For the ninth year, Manitoba Ombudsman has joined with other information and privacy commissioner offices from across the country in celebrating national Right to Know Week from September 22 to 28, 2014 and international Right to Know Day on September 28. The purpose of Right to Know is to raise awareness of an individual’s democratic right of access to government-held information and to promote the benefits of open, accessible, and transparent government.

• Manitoba Ombudsman Hosting Access and Privacy Conference in October 2014 – Jul 22, 2014
  The 2014 Manitoba Connections: Access, Privacy, Security and Information Management Conference will be held October 6-7, 2014 at the Delta Hotel in Winnipeg.
  
• Five New Reports Under The Ombudsman Act Posted Online – Jul 18, 2014
  Manitoba Ombudsman has posted five new Ombudsman Act investigation reports on its website.
  
• Ombudsman suspends investigations related to flood-affected municipalities – Jul 8, 2014
  In light of the flood situation in southern Manitoba, Manitoba Ombudsman will be suspending investigations related to any municipalities and communities under local or provincial states of emergency for 30 days. We will review the situation after 30 days. This decision was taken after careful review of all outstanding municipal complaint investigations, and in light of the impact on municipal officials of their ongoing efforts to deal with the disruption and devastation caused by flooding.
